Re: Leaking fuel!! Please help!



you don't have to completely drain it.
you can cut the replacement hose first.

use vice grips or a similar idea to clamp
the hose in the middle.
unhook the end from the pump.
hook your new hose up to the pump
and secure it with a clamp.
get a pan to catch fuel in.
quickly unclamp the end from the fuel tank
letting the hose quickly drop into the pan.
and then quickly stick the open end of
the new hose on and clamp down.

I wouldn't suggest having a full tank as
gravity will undoubtedly pull more fuel out
into your pan.. but this will keep you from
having to completely drain your tank.

had to do this to my ex-84 gti.
