Re: Neuspeed race springs

Hey, man. I'll answer your question about the Bilstein HDs. According to a Bilstein engineer that I spoke to last year, the HDs will offer sufficient dampening force to control up to a 300lb/inch spring up front. I don't know about the rear's ability, but I doubt that whatever you'd run would exceed it.

However, if Aaron is right about the Eibachs being 300lbs, then anything more (in a "proper" race spring) will obviously be too much.

Are there any springs available, besides coilovers, that ARE stiff enough for an
all-out race (i.e. AutoX) application? How stiff are Eibachs? I've heard people
say they're stiff. What spring rates work well with a 22mm/28mm swaybar combo on
an '84 GTI? I know, I know, I should just get coilovers. Can I use my Bilstein
HD's with them? How many questions can I ask in one post?
