Re: 4sp-5sp shifting problems



Did you use the correct linkage rods for the 5-spd box, they are different
lengths compared to the 4-spd ones.
Your problem could also be adjustment: when I recently replaced all the
bushings, I couldn't get 1st without some fiddling with the adjustment.  Try
moving the rod with the ball on the end,  on the end of the main shifter to
gearbox connecting rod, a few degrees at a time and see if it makes any
difference.
