I have 'em along with Bilstein Sports.  Car isn't really all that low at all.
The top of the tire is NEAR the wheel arch but I don't think it's flush.

As for cutting a dead coil, I say forget it!  This is quality stuff, built
and designed by smart German boys who know what they're doing - leave their
work alone!
