Re: power door locks

well,
I was looking to transfer the central locking from
the 16v parts car to the '83, but it's not exactly what
I want.
There is a switch on the driver's lock that activates the
vacuum pump in back when locked. The pump then locks
the passenger lock and hatch via vacuum lines.
The problem with this for me is that I cannot set it up this
way in conjunction with my alarm, because it won't lock
the driver's door.
I'm thinking of going with an aftermarket kit that uses
electric selenoids instead so I can run it into my alarm.
If someone out there wants to buy or trade for the stock
central locking, make me an offer.......
