The earthquake that hit Puebla, Mexico yesterday did indeed 
impact Volkswagen. Its factory has been shut down indefinitely. 
This means 1,470 less new New Beetles, Jettas, Cabrios and old 
Beetles per day. For those interested, a full story about the quake

Of course, the real tragedy is the death toll, which stands at 12. 
On the positive side, it's a far cry from the 9,500 killed from a 
Mexican earthquake in 1985.
