I had to laugh when I saw this. The first time I went to my employers
powder coater I asked the exact same question! Naturally, the answer was
yes, IF the car would fit in the oven. They have a line oven and a batch
oven. I'm ready to buy a MG midget just because it would fit in the batch
oven :)

The owner went on to tell me there are some manufactures powder coating
trucks (work type ones). The only "problem" with powder coating is the
current technology will not give the high gloss available with paint. If
you're not looking for a high gloss show car, but a durable long lasting
finish, powder coating could be a great option.

For info's sake, they charge an $85.00 setup fee and then generally a per
piece charge (stock colors). They tend to screw us on the setup charge,
charging it even on a color that's already running on the line. I plan to
sweet-talk the owner or piggy-back a company job to avoid the setup charge
one of these days...

Greg :)
