Make a list of modifications performed on your car. The ultimate cheap
solution would be a simple laser printed piece of parchment that's glued
neatly onto a piece of cardboard. Don't just chicken scratch some babble on a
dirty piece of paper like some schmuck did last year. See, after a judge has
seen 20 cars or so, they all start to look the same. Therefore, presentation
points start to make a real difference.

If you want to go all out, get a sign shop to create something big and
beautiful for you. List all the mods and tell a little story about the car to
evoke an emotional (rather than just clinical) response from the judge. "So,
there I was doing 220mph down Route 66 and then this riced out Honda wanted to
race me... ..."

You can have the wildest car in the world sitting right in front of a judge.
However, if we don't know what we're looking at then you get fewer points.
Make everything *obvious*. By the way, I my criteria for judgement goes in the
following order:

1. overall "tuned" approach to the vehicle. (i.e. no VR6 motor and 9.4" solid
rotors, etc...)
2. general technical innovation
3. "real" performance modifications
4. practical style enhancements that don't compromise the car
5. presentation

The *actual* categories that are judged upon are:

1. Exterior quality...........................15 points
2. Interior quality............................15 points
3. Mechanical quality......................15 points
4. Suspension quality......................15 points
5. Cleanlines...................................15 points
6. Overall concept & integration......20 points
7. Display.........................................5 points
