Update on Charging Problem

I had my alternator checked out yesterday, and it was charging at 55. The
battery appears to be okay. I didn't bring it in but my cheap charger says
it's good.

However, the alt. guy said that if the grounds are not set/wired properly
then I could possibly have a problem. Here is what I did...

When I swapped the motors, I painted the inside of the engine bay. I
removed the grounds straps which were screwed into the body. I did
re-screw these straps onto the body, but there was painton the body, the
wire and the screw. So, while looking at the car yesterday, I decided to
scrape clean the paint off the body, the screw, and the wire. Off course it
started at the time cuz the battery had been charged.

This morning, my dad had no problems starting the car. I hope that that is
the cure to my problems. I guess once it gets warmer, I'm gonna have to
re-ground the wire properly. Firstly, I hope that it continues to start
without any problems......thanks to everyone for their input so far.
Thanks to this list I've saved so much money. Yippeeeeeee..................
