Re: 24V VR6 introduced in Europe...VWoA blows



I hope you are either made out of money or are happy with close to stock
horsepower with that 1.8t.  The most the stock turbo will pump out is enough
for about 220hp.  And at that level the turbo is spinning at ludicrous
speeds.  For real horsepower you gotta replace the turbo and the intercooler
and the exhaust manifold, get headwork, o-ring the head, total seal
rings.............in other words BIG money.
BTW, I know a guy that works at a VW/Audi dealership here and he is
reporting that some of the local Audi A4s that have been pumped up are not
lasting very long under the increased strain before they grenade.
Me, I'll take my understressed 178+ hp SLC and cruise it another 70k miles.
