Re: Parts Upgrades...

well i guess i have to get in on the 944 discussion too. Ive driven my
friends 83 944 a few times and i would have to say that it doesnt compare
to the 16v.
NOw granted this is an older model year and not comparable to the S2 or
even any 86 and later 944 but it only has 60000 mi and running good. It
just seems that its not as fun to drive. Its got lots of torque and great
balance and good handling for a dead stock suspension. The porsche
engineers knew what they were doing.
BUT, it just doesnt feel really FUN, like the scirocco. It weighs about
400 pounds more but has around 150 hp. It will keep up with me for quite
awhile
but after i hit the high revs i can pull on it. That's with my fragged
clutch and bad motor mount too. But when i drive it it just doesnt put
that big shit-eating grin on my face like my 16v.
I would like to have a RWD car again though. They just feel more like a
race car.
