Well let's make it simpler.  This is what Ben and I did on
Friday to his car:

With the motor in the parked position, remove the wiper
linkage from the wiper motor.  Rotate the linkage so that
the wiper is in the center of the windshield, then reattach
the linkage to the motor.  Presto, instant monowiper parked
in the center, works like a charm.
