Congratulations, dude!
I'm interested in your feedback on the tires... I've always regarded those as one of the ultimate street tires, for some reason, and wonder if that opinion is justified. It is based on nothing whatsoever, and I don't know where I got that idea. I think it's cool that they're available in such an incredibly large range of sizes, but what do you think of them? I've always thought of them as a tire that offered incredible grip in the dry, and really bad wear characteristics, for a street tire. True/false? (Obviously you wouldn't know about wear yet, since they're brand new... at least I HOPE you wouldn't... hehe...)

Josiah,
Actually I do knw about wear. My previous tire was the same thing. I had them for like 3 years and something like 40,000 miles. I really got a lot of miles out of them. I guess I need to push the car harder. I like them but they do suck in the rain. Ever since I bought the truck I would not drive the 'rocco in the rain. It is really bad when the highway has ruts in it. There is this bad section between Richmond and DC on I-95 that if it rains (and it usually is dark when I drive it) I just stay in the right lane and go the speed limit. It scares the shit out of me. The ruts are real deep and throws the car around. I really don't like driving in the rain.
On dry they are great. I remember my brothers 2002 with Comp T/A's in the late 80's that stuck like glue. Mine don't stick like that. I think I need to play with the pressure more to get that right feel.
There seems to be a lot of new technology tires out now and they seem all to help in the rain. I am not afraid to try new things but I did not want to give up the grip I know I would have with the AVS. Maybe next time I will change? Who knows.

Cool thing, yesterday I was driving home when this 3 series BMW pulls up. They were posers. I punch it and they follow. They are sticking to me (behind though). I come up on the entrance ramp to the beltway (one of those nice almost 360 ones) and they are trying to keep up but I out handle them an leave them in the dust. I did't even push it too hard because of the new slick tire thingie. Felt real good. They try to catch up with me again but the traffic was too thick.

Hey it's FRIDAY!

Woo Hoo!
