coolest, cheapest cosmetic mod.

I don't know how many of you have done this, but i cant tell you how cool
it looks. tinting the light cluster red. it really updates the look of
the rear end. all i did was get a set of 8v rear lights (thanks to greg
faust), i did this cause i don't think it'd work well with the black lines
of the 16v cluster. Buy a clear model paint, i used tamiya's clear red. i
used an airbrush since i have one, but i think you can get the clear
colours in spray cans too.

mask off the parts you don't want painted, i only painted the corner
signals (the orange part of the lights), but i would reccomend painting the
whole thing (except the reverse lights) for a more uniform look. You could
do the reverse lights too, but i like the red and white look better.

give'er a couple coates and they look amazing. i'm really impressed, and
best of all it only cost me $3.

i have friends with golfs, jettas, rabbits that have done this and it looks
great on all. and the colour matches almost perfectly with the red
plastic.

i'll have some pics up within a day or two, so you can see for your
selves. i'll let y'all know when they're up.
