There's two things it could be... either the valve inside the engine
compartment that allows hot coolant into the heater core is getting bad or the
levers are out of the track.  I've had this happen a few times.  I've had to
take the center console out and adjust the levers.  I thought it was just the
cable for the longest time but I was wrong.  Good luck!
