headers?

I know this subject has been touched on many times,
but I just bought a tri-y header and would like to get
some opinions.  It is an autotech or BMS or something
similar.  All I really know is that it's new, already wrapped,
and has the 02 sensor port.
The only headers I've used were 4 into 1s, which were
horrible.
Does anybody out there have practical experience?
Compared tri-ys against a dual manifold/aftermarket downpipe?
