It will if its a 16v.  That's where the oil comes up from.

Yes, with an 8valve, absolutely.  I would never suggest that a breather hose that
comes out of the valve cover could be cured with an oil pan baffle.  That would
be plain bass-ackwards.

Was the original poster asking about an 8v or 16v?
