Welcome, welcome. We need all the help we can get to keep as many Sciroccos as
possible from the bone yard.

Go out to the car and remove the duct tape, that is a drain hole, dude. :) It
is most likely not the source of you're leak unless you have been floating the
car. Consider debris build up and around the hatch seal and gutter. Also check
the sunroof drain holes ( If you have a sunroof ) you will find in the area
towards the top of the hatch seal area, when the hatch is up. Some folks find
a thin wire helps to unclog these tubes.

The rubber seal around the front windshields are known to leak, possible that
the rear might leak but unlikely.

It is possible to lube the wiper linkage. This will reduce some of the
mechanical load on the wiper motor. Also, Are they outfitted with those funky
double bladed wipers? If so, yank them there things off and slip in some real
Bosch refills. Many reports of double blades leading to burnt out motors.

Something else might be how much voltage ( well, really current ) is getting
through the motor. Put a meter to your electricals and see how far down the
voltage dips when the wipes are turned on, let us know what you find.

One last thing I thought of to consider is that since this is a 'new' car for
you, perhaps they move slower than you expect. Hard to tell over email.

Clogged nozzles. Stick a pin in them to clear them out. Check the tubes
running from the pump to the nozzles for kinks and peek in the fluid bottle
for debris.
Might be another symptom of low available power, system wide.

Well, despite my confidence in dispensing advice- I am a Mk1 kinda guy. So
some other source of MFA knowledge is indicated. :)
