The Carbureted comment applies to U.S. only. Carbureted Sciroccos were
available in Europe through the late 80's (maybe until 92?)

For the U.S., 1975 & early 1976 models were the only carbureted
Sciroccos. All other Sciroccos sold in the U.S. were CIS or CIS-E fuel
injected.

No prob. MKI is pre-1982 AFAIK. After that time, arrived the new body
style
in late 1982. None of which were carbuerated at that point anymore. Of
course, they are both gorgeous cars in their own right.
