RE: Brakes

One question. Why?

No really the 10.1" fronts are about the best you can have (your car has
them all ready). Run a good set of brake pads( Ferrodo, Hawks, NO Metal
Masters) and good brake fluid (Ford heavy duty) and you are done. You
should be able to narrow your field of vision with them brakes. Not really
but close.

Yes I understand the need for better brakes but bigger is not always better,
max out your current combination. If you don't like it I will take your
left over parts if you sell them for some minor $$. You can only stop so
fast - if you can lock up your brakes currently - buy better tires, if not
buy better pads.

I love big brakes - but a some point it becomes gross overkill plus adds
unsprung weight to the car. I have a buddy with a 914 who added 944 turbo
big brakes you know the big RED calipers that say Porsche on the side these
are like 13" rotors and pads the size of your hand, quad piston units. I
can out brake him with my Ferrodos, and a set of 911 M calipers on 911 front
rotors. And 914-4 rear rotors and calipers. The point is if you don't have
the traction, you can't brake if you have the traction the big brakes will
help you. But only to a certain degree.

Yes there is a 11" kit that is due out at some time, or with some
minor/major work you could upgrade your calipers and rotors.
