Hi all,
as regards the rust in the bottom of your fuel tank, well, its ferrous
material, so the best way to get rid of it (speaking from experience!) is to
get a small ring magnet, attach it (firmly!!!) to the end of a long rod, then
just dip it in the tank and collect all the rusty bits, making sure you clean
it every so often.  Works a treat.  This was how I solved a problem with my
car sucking up all sorts of crap from the bottom of the tank.
