Re: Woe is me.

The console is rather easy to get out... I just put in a new head unit
and equalizer in my Scirocco, so this is all fresh in my head. Take the
shift knob and boot off. Directly towards the rear of the car from the
shifter, there is a small flap (kind of under the ebrake) which opens to
reveal a screw. This one screw can make your life miserable!! Take
that bugger out!
Pull all the heater control knobs off. Then the faceplate pops out, and
you have to unplug the light from the right side and the fan switch from
the left. There are two screws above the heater controls, and two
below. There are two at the rear of the cubbyhole below where your
radio used to be. Then there are the miscellaneous ones that go towards
the center of the car from either side of the console. I have a triple
gauge unit where my ashtray used to be.. but I will assume there is a
light for the ashtray, and you might have an oil temp gauge there??
Anyways, that's enough to get you to the point where you can figure it
out (with your Bentley of course). Good luck.
