Re: CD Receivers - what size fits 87 MKII w. AC?



My '87 16v (with air) had a Sony CD player in it when I bought it, with
no metal sleeve.  What the guy had done was put a metal brace across the
width of the console, with a small piece of foam for the radio chassis
to sit on.  Since then, I've installed a Blaupunkt CD player (this time
with a sleeve) and it fell into place.  There is a small plastic piece
sticking up at the rear of the radio hole, mine had been snipped off. 
That's the only clearance problem you might have, the heater/ac stuff is
not in the way.  Hope this helps!
