I find the easiest way to get it out is to remove the shelf under the dash and
also the cover under the dash. Then you can get under there (with your head on
the brake pedal!) and reach up and disconnect the spedo cable and the
electrical connectors. (2, one on each side, one big, one small.) It takes a
little longet this way but in the long run, its much easier especially when
your putting the cluster back in.

Then back in the seat, there is 2 screws holding the plastic trim piece and
then you just carefully remove the trim piece. Remove 2 more screws from the
cluster itself and the cluster will rotate foreward a bit. You will need to be
patient and work on getting it out but trust me, it does come out. Once its
completely out of the car you just either install the replacement cluster or
you just open up the cluster and swap out the spedo. I dont know how you broke
yours but if you take the time to remove all of the screws on the back side and
are carefull it should come out fairly easy.

Also, when your removing the cluster, be sure to secure the 2 rubber bushings
that fit on the bottom part on the cluster mounts. (the part that rotates on a
pivot when you remove it) Otherwise you will have a rattle!
HTH!
