I used a Dremel tool, and a honing brush for a drill. Not terribly
scientific, but it allows the bolting of the bigger t-body on to the intake
w/o spacer, and I cleaned up the ports at the head end. Made the runners a
bit bigger, but honestly, I am not sure how much you can REALLY take out.
I feel pretty comfortable with what I did, I figure it cannot be WORSE than
stock, but aside from the t/b being spacer-free, I don't really know what
gains it'll afford. I'd like to get another intake, have the rear side
welded, and really go to town, because as it sits, the primary side (back)
of the intake is pretty thin - take a look at one sometime, you'll see -
the opening for the t/b forces the primary to reduce quite a bit. I got
the entry for the primary fairly smooth, it should help. I am also going
to be messing with a Weber Big Throat soon, I have one, see what that does
vs stock - I don't think the Weber is THE answer, but I'd guess it to be
better than stock (and free, what the hell, right?). Hope this helps!
