The poping sounds your hearing is due to an exhaust leak. Oddly enough, air is 
getting INTO the system adding all the oxygen needed to finish burning the 
remaining fuel. pop-pop-pop-pop-crackle-pop... <info only>

About $100. Well, im not exactly sure, but it wontr hurt to walk into a shop and 
ask them for a quote as well as finding out if they mandrel bend their systems or 
just use the ol' plumbers pipe bender tool.
