I was not doing anything stoopid. I was getting off the freeway and he was 
getting on 3 cars behind me. He must have seen my tags as I past him I was doing
55 in the slow lane because I was behind a couple of big rigs that were driving
slow. My Tempo is a stock bronze/gold color and is VERY slow. It is all stock
not even tinted windows. I can't figure it out. I called the officer sir, I 
answered all of his questions he asked and was very resprectful. Then he told
me to get out to answer a couple of questions and then told me he was towing my
car and asked if I had any "valuables" in it. I asked him to give me a break?
He said "no chance" and gave me a smirk. He was a jerk

I appreciate your concern though because I can see how that would get me into
trouble. Also I was wearing a shirt and tie because I was coming to work from
a lunch run home.

What was the reason for the impoundment? Are you accused of illegal
equipment, drag racing, or what?

Around here MOST of the cops are reasonable, but I have heard horror stories
about the Cook County Sheriff's Police outside Chicago - real corrupt SOBs,
many of them - seeing the politics in Chicago and suburbs, that's not
unexpected.

I only had one incident where a cop was really nasty - and I was doing
something really stupid at the time!
