I don't believe I've ever seen TT claim that their 16V systems yield big
HP gains - but I don't have my TT catalog w/me. I've always heard that
the 16V exhaust was fairly well done by the factory. This was not the
case with the 8Vs - especially the 82 and on Scirocco 8Vs . . .  

Could be just that the TT system is much cheaper than the factory system
. . .

If only it were that easy...

You've seen the latest "Project" 16v article?  On the dyno, the full TT
stainless system from header to tailpipe, plus the Nology ignition parts
gave a whopping 3hp.  There's obviously something wrong with that car,
but
even so I wouldn't call it a ringing endorsement of the TT exhaust.
