185 vs 195 for '87 16V

     Hey all you 'rocco experimenters!
     
     I need sound advice about new rubber for my '87 16V 'rocco.  
     Should I stick with the stock size tire on my factory 14" 
     tear drops at 185 60 R14, or is it a no brainer to get 
     improved handling by going up to the 195's?  I have zero 
     suspension mods and don't plan to lower ever (Pot hole 
     heaven is in Wisconsin too!)
     
     Let me know if you have "been there, done that" and whether 
     you cried "JOY!" or "hated it".  Thanks a bucket full!
