	To Kevin McGrath:
	I have a 1.8l high compression motor and up until my distributor
shaft became so lose I never had any problem with the POINTS ignition
on that motor.  Because the shaft is so lose I can't accurately set the
points and it pings now.  
	It just so happens that I have the knock sensor ignition that I 
hopefully putting in this week.  
	POINTS work though and you have the electronic ignition so you 
should be fine.
