OK heres my experience with rims and painting them.
I am sure some of you have heard this story before but...
	I had purchased(actually given) a set of BBS rims off a 4000
Audi Quattro. They had a polished lip and gold centers. Now I didn't like
the gold centers so I set out trying to strip them. Nothing budged this
paint so I brought them to get sand blasted. It still wouldn't budge. They
told me it was powder coated and it would take too long for them to blast
off the coating.
From there they recommended a powder coating place. I promptly
went to the new place and the guy there showed me around. He was very nice
and truely knowledgable about powder coating. I got them painted "Mist
silver" because it looks incredible. They look grey from a distance but
when you are lucky to see them in sunshine, they light up. $40 per rim
and they look brand new. He said just spray them off with water and the
brake dust comes right off. He is right.
But alas, 4000 Quattro rims have 4-108mm bolt patterns and as I
know so well now, VWs have 4-100mm bolt patterns. I was sad to sell
them but I sold them to my friend who bought an 88 Audi 90. They look great.
	I recommend powder coating!!

By the by, does anybody know about Ronal rims? Or remember if
Ronals came on the old Golf Cup cars?? I bought a set of 13" rims this
weekend and theguy I bought them from said thats what they are off of.

I am goin to get these powder coated too!
