Any of the major brands would be fine. Blaupunkts have had a
reputation for blowing tweeters though,(based only customer sales and
returns, not on any official report) Most of them will respond to over
20kHz. Make sure it can handle at least 50W, listen to them if you can. I
ended up going with the Pioneers. They have velcro pads for mounting and
a nice recessed mount also. I thought about mounting them from the
cieling as well. What I ended up doing was mounting them on the far
corners of the dash, about an inch from the windshield. The high
frequencies disperse really well off the windshield for good sound
coverage. My concern was that with them mounted on the cieling, you
would only be able to hear them when directly under them. Mounting them
this way, you don't necessarily have to do anything to you dash, just run
the wire along the edge to the door, (about and inch) then under the dash
to where ever. If you wanted to look really clean, you could drill a
small hole from the underside to run the wire through to where the
tweeters are. Bit more work though.

I would suggest running them off the amp. If you do, you should just
wire them in parallel with the speaker box now, just pretend the other
wires aren't there. You also need to make sure you use a capacitor in
line with the tweeters to filter out the bass so you don't blow them
right away. I think maybe 22uF will do. If you decide to do this, I'll
check the size. The amp will give a much cleaner sound then the stereo.
This is really noticeable with the high frequencies, i.e. treble,
tweeters. If you want to be resourceful, you could take out one of the
woofers to get to the inside of the box, unwire the tweeters in there and
just run some wire from there out of the box to use with your tweeters.
That is assuming that the box has a crossover in it and not just hot
wired piezo electric tweeters.

The question is how much work do you feel like doing? With wiring it
from the amp you'd have to pull up the plastic trim holding the carpet by
the door to run the wires under it, only one side though. It's held on
by about 8 plastic clips, broke a couple of mine. Other than that its
pretty simple to run the wires to the back. If that's more work than
what you'll want to do, then wiring them from the stereo will probably
provide adequate power for a pair of tweeters, just won't be as clean.
Good luck :)
