My dealer just sold me one of the similar bulbs you mentioned. I just
soldered it in after cutting away part of the plastic holder. Not a neat
solution but it seemed to work. The heater bulb is the same as the one
that lights the oil temperature or whatever other kind of gauge they
stuck next to the ashtray. The ashtray light has a slightly different kind
of plastic base...
