Suspension question

One of the harder parts from the last two times I've done this is the possibility of the lower rear shock bolt rusting in place.
There is no easy solution other than to persevere.

Replacing every wear item on a Scirocco, springs, shocks, bushings, strut bearings, can be done in a day including alignment by two people.

OTOH, the fact that your car does not bounce after pushing down the front end is good. The moaning/groaning doesn't sound good although I don't really have any idea what could be making the noise.
As far as the tire wear, my cars, and my nephew's car will all cup the inner edge of the rear tires even with new shocks and alignment within spec. I have no idea why. The solution is to rotate the tires every oil change.
