[OT] 1990 Jetta, Are you freaking kidding me????!!!



I think that 2nd cast al bracket, may need to come off, but I don't think
you have to remove the axle.
...And the mount should come right out.

There are two brackets, one that is longer and can come off the tranny, the
other (near the linkage) looks like it is part of the tranny housing that is
the one that is in the way.

Raise the tranny and remove the bracket from it.  That's the best way I can
think to get it out of the way.  The alternative is to drop the entire
subframe.
