Subject: sorta OT: performance mods for the cabby

Since i have to wait a while to actually get my own car, i want to modify
the cabbriolet for now. it isnt quick enough for me. I figured a
performance cam and cold air intake might be a good place to start. also
exhaust because i need to fix one of the exhaust hangers anyways.
so here is my question. does anyone have any suggestions as far as these
things go? what should i be looking for? i would appreciate any sort of
advice on this. thanks

TT 2.0" w/Borla muffler, is the shizzle...

Larger T/Body is a necessity (IIRC the Cabbies had the smaller T-Body along
with the rest).

Cam choice is a picky thing, don't go less than a grind...

Cold air? Install a K&N and cut-away as much of the bottom of the box as
you can while still making it mount into it's holder. This won't do much
for you in-town, but on the highway it is -excellent- It cuts-down on the
restriction the box has. I have done the cold-air thing, with a 16V
scirocco air box lower and the Audi 5K air intake (assuming yours is CIS),
and I like the cutaway box better.
