New, but not really too new

Hi Thanks for all the advice. Here's a little history for those who are interested.

In 1985 I was in college and after my Chevette croaked, my parents helped me get a 1979 Scirocco. I drove that for a couple of years and worked on it from time to time. Shortly after I graduated my Rocco got sick and would not run right. It was too sick for me to figure out and a couple of mechanics could not tell me what was wrong, so I traded it in for a Chevy Baretta ( wished I would or could have kept it). I wanted a 87 Scirocco 16V, but it was too expensive for my salary at the time.

Fast forward about 15 years.... I found a 1984 Scirocco sitting in a parking lot with a forsale sign, I snatched it up and bought a Bentley and did some work on it for a short amount of time. Well that ended with a relationship battle that I don't care to get into online and the Rocco was lost.

Now is Rocco III which is here to stay. I found it on Ebay recently and won it. It was exactly what I was looking for, 16V, Flash Silver and pretty much stock (Yes, it even came with the Tear Drop rims, but the previous owner switched to the snowflakes). Lucky I had a friend in Knoxville, TN that could check it out before I got too serious on my bidding. Well, I won it. This is also my third car now. I currently drive a 2000 Grand AM GT as a daily driver, but that will be going to my son in 2008 when he becomes 16. The Scirocco is going to be my daily driver from that point forward. My intentions are to keep it stock and make it as reliable as possible up. I already have a car that I'm modifying, it's a 1985 Buick Grand National. Both it and the Scirocco are extremelly fun cars to drive, but are on two totally different classes of fun.

When I had my 1984 Rocco, I posted on this list a few times and found everyone helpful and friendly. So I'm really a repeat offender with Sciroccos and this forum, just new to the 16V motor and hoping to stay put with it for a very long time.
