moving to Canada legally (LOOOONG... but good info)
Now that I've thought it over, depending on which province she's going
into, if she can prove that she's lived with him for more then a certain
amount of time (3 years for Ontario) then she can claim Common law spouse I
think. It might be worth looking into if it gets her papers faster.
