Yes. Might have to take the wheel off for exact measurement but 10.1" should
be 16v fronts and 9.4" 8v. I do not know about the 81s but early MK1s had
even smaller front disks of 8.4" that are not vented IIRC.

Rear's are either drum or disc. Visibly different, wouldn't you think?

Right.

I don't know yet how to check type on the prop. valve, but soon will

Thick cylinders sticking out of the MC rear line outputs, driver side rear
port and passenger side front port. Check my earlier picture.

And now I find that the brake MC bore size is visible, let's see, CAST

Most likely on the driver side.

I ended up buying the car, looks reasonable for the price, and I'm not

Tell me where the keys are when I get there and I will give you a full
evaluation :)

I think I'm going to make time to drop by that dealership and... have a

Probably a waste of breath. Hard to find a person there who knows what a 25
year old scirocco is. Not their fault, they have complicated A5s to figure
out how to put together.
Do not be too stressed if all the parts are not there. If it is braking
fine and there are 4 disks on the car then you are doing good. A 20mm
master cylinder will work, so I have heard, but the braking pedal will be
stiffer or harder to press but will still operate the disks. Without the
proportioning valves I think that the brakes will work fine under normal
braking but under heavy breaking there is a chance the rears might lock up
earlier on ya but have no experience with the conversion myself. Hopefully
someone with first hand experience can validate or tell me I am full of
crap.

Thanks again guys for your help.
