16v no start problem



You can do a quick and dirty test for that with one half of a set of
booster cables, just clip one end to the chassis and the other to the
negative terminal. Try it with the thing hooked to the tranny too, that
ground often gets deleted entirely if the motor/tranny's been swapped.

In my experience it's most often been the small wires on critical igintion
parts, like the ones on the Hall Effect sensor on the ignition distributor.
Always look up under the rubber boot on the connector too, I've had more
than one bad wire right up in there.

Did you hear the fuel pump prime?  Just curious.
