16v no start problem

I don't know if this will help, but I happened to be perusing the A-2 book
today and it says for a PL(I know it's CIS-E) no start situation to hook an
extra ground from the battery neg to the chassis. I used to have a 90
Passat and that Motronic drove me crazy, too.
