lowering spring caps

So I've had my bilsteins on for a few weeks and a few hundred miles now.
I'm pleased with them, except I was hoping my car would sit a little lower.
Anyone have expierence with lowering caps, Bonrath or otherwise?  How do
they affect handling, losing that half-inch of travel?
