Well, burned out or not, the (16V) 9A DID come in the GTI in those years,
and GLI Jettas and B3 Passats of similar vintages, give or take a year,
that much I knew. My 9A's from a GTI. But the discussion of the 2L 8V
blocks that followed was really interesting, as the height of the ABA can
present concerns for Roccos with their shorter fender tops! My kid's doing
an ABA bottom with 9A head, but it'll go into a Rabbit anyway. We'll see if
he ever gets it done. But if a 3A ever pops up, I may snag it.
