9A block from Audi 88

The Audi block is most likely a 3A from that year. It is a very nice block
indeed with lots of building potential. When I had my 90 2d Jetta Coupe I
was going to build and ABA motor. I picked up that 3A for $250 with just
over 31k. I had to sell the car before the motor was completed.

Here is some of the information I remember when looking for a 2.0L block.
The Audi 3A block is 12mm shorter overall than a 93-98 ABA block.

Which is great if you are doing an 8V since you run into clearance issues
with the hood.

The 3A block along with early ABA have forged pistons, crank, & have oil
squirters.
