Chopped Top Roccs?

   Not a MkII either.
Find a Chevette or something like that. Or build a Fiberglass one.
Clean Sciroccos are rare enough by now that it is a crime to destroy
them for some experiment.

>>I seem to remember a picture of one - I think it was on one of those
>>pages full of goofy looking old school sciroccos from Germany.
>>
>>It's one of the hair-brained ideas I'm tossing around for when I
>>finally have my own garage to keep the car in. I was reading about it
>>a few weeks back and saw that one of the ways to do it is to recess
>>the windscreen down below the hood line - which is how modern cars are
>>designed so the wipers are hidden. That would eliminate the need for
>>cutting the windscreen glass and figuring out how to deal with gaskets

>>sloped front window, and less disturbance over the wipers. Pair that

>>mph and increase fuel efficiency.
>>
>>Plus, I think it could look really good. Maybe even slope the top to

>>Oh, and while I'm talking pipe dreams - I'm going to convert the rear
>>panel to a tailgate, like a pickup truck. The tail lights will be two
>>pieces and when the hatch is up, you'll be able to swing that panel
>>down and it will be flush with the rear floor. Coat the whole area
>>with truck bed liner and it will be perfect for hauling crap around!
