5spd transmissions question...

FF is a wide ratio box (perhaps THE widest ratio box available) with a 3.89
final drive.
The 9A is a close ratio box (as close as they come) with the taller 3.67
final drive.
The 9A will give you better acceleration except in 1st gear due to the
taller final drive.
Rodolfo doesn't have a lot of poop, but even with the FF he'll accelerate
faster than with the old slush box.
The FF will give you the best mileage you can get. Huge difference from the
automatic. Probably average better than 28 MPG and have better acceleration.
So, it's a little bit of a trade off. Good acceleration (FF) vs. better
acceleration (9A). Best mileage (FF) vs way better than you've been getting
(9A).
Balls! I don't know what to recommend. ;^)
