Mk1 racer on eBay



Larry,
I would agree that some numbers are rather mythical, but with the 
specifics he listed, and doing research on the engine builder 
(http://www.bertilsengines.com), I'd have to believe him.  Seems Bertils 
has been in the VW engine building business for a long time (1974), and 
VW contracted with him and only him to build racing engines for them in 
the GT3 cup series.  Not only does he build them, but I would assume he 
has a full test procedure.  He's invited me to his shop to check out his 
newest project (2.0 16v for an enduro series), I might just have to take 
him up on his offer, Antigo isn't that far from me.  Don, Tonee, Jim, 
want to make a mini-road trip and check his stuff out?
