Ouch for auto industry

well, maybe I can shed a little light on this subject. As some one that
lives in West Philly and works on a school sponsored race car (Drexel FSAE
alumni), yes, the car was neat but that was about it (saw it the auto
show). As far a budget goes I would not be surprised to see a 200k+ budget,
people love to give $$ and freebies to school race programs. Second, there
is West Philly, and there is West Philly. Let me explain, this school is
not in the crack whore stumbling down the middle of the road West Philly,
but instead the University of Pennsylvania (Ivy league) West Philly.
http://partners.upenn.edu/wp/k12/wphs/ When it comes to safety, it didn't
look like something that I would get into and ride through Philly (and I
drive a Miata), but that's just me. Engine looked like a VW TDI ? fairly
stock looking but I couldn't get a whole lot of information out of the kids
standing around it at the auto show. Paint/clear coat/body panels - they
were mostly carbon fiber, poor fitment, too much clear coat.

Hope that sheds a little more info on this
