MS diagram?



Set all the ignition advance values in the ignition table to one number, or at least the ones the engine is likely to run at while you check the timing at idle.
Since you have a non-advance timing light, I'd set all the values to 6 degrees (temporarily of course) since the flywheel has a mark there and check that the timing light is actually at that value.
Good to double check the mechanical positioning this way if you ask me. The sensor type you have should trigger when the center of the sensor lines up with the center of the desired trigger tooth, but I bet there's some variation.

On another note, are you running a WB-O2?
