The tow truck just...

...dropped me off at home. About 10am, I came out of the tunnel in
Baltimore on 95 south. About two miles later I hear bad things from
the engine. I immediately start to lose power. Giving it gas to
maintain speed makes it sound worse. Hit flashers, go to right lane
and limp at ~30 mph to next exit, 200 yards or so. Coming to first
light, about one block from exit, it dies as I take it out of gear.
Pop it in second, turn right at light and stop in entrance to a high
school. It dies as I coast to a stop.

Tow showed up at noon, just got to house about 20 min ago. Saw a
thermometer at a gas station right after we left with my car and it
said 104.

Regarding the car and the way it felt and sounded, it reminded me of
the way the Celica drove a couple years ago after throwing a rod.

Not happy. Putting out feelers for a local, decent and inexpensive
16v. But haven't heard from the shop yet.
